Launch your career in the financial sector with a dream start at one of the leading companies in the industry. Our LGT „Banking introduction for school leavers“ is specially designed for high-school leavers and lasts 24 months.
This comprehensive banking and financial training program at our locations in Liechtenstein and Switzerland offers you the opportunity of getting to know all areas of wealth management and of obtaining an internationally recognized training certificate. LGT offers young people who have completed this training program a broad spectrum of career opportunities.
During your on-the-job training, you will complete two - three practical work deployments lasting a total of 24 months. At least 12 months of this training will be in one of the bank's core business areas, and a part of it will entail direct contact with clients, e.g. in the areas of credits and mortgages, wealth appreciation, account product advisory services or financial transactions/securities trading.
Parallel to your practical training, you will participate in off-the-job training at the „Center for Young Professionals in Banking“. Here you will learn the theoretical basis of banking and financial business as well as expanding and deepening your practical knowledge.
An integral part of this LGT training program consists of a two-week language training stay in an English-speaking country.
To enhance your methodology and social skills you will attend various internal LGT training and professional education seminars.
After 24 months you will complete your training with a written and oral examination and a practical on-the-job appraisal. If you successfully pass these examinations, you will receive a diploma from the Swiss Bankers Association and the internationally recognized „European Foundation Certificate in Banking“.
The next career program for school leavers will start in March 2012.
