LGT Navigator: Trump nimmt weitere Eskalation in Kauf

6. April 2018

Asian stocks started the new trading week on a friendly tone after stronger than expected US labor market data was well received at the end of last week. The globally sound economic outlook is currently providing a tailwind on the stock markets.
The US initiated trade war is causing great uncertainty on financial markets and is  likely to cloud investor sentiment in the long term. In addition, the Fed rate hike is  having an effect and there are fears that interest rates will rise faster than anticipated. Furthermore, some leading indicators signal an economic slowdown. The purchasing managers' index for the euro-area private sector, as well as the German Ifo business climate index fell for the second time.
