Within the department Research & Strategy you will support our Chief Economist in a multi-faceted and demanding role. In collaboration with your colleagues you will derive and present analyses and forecasts for global macroeconomic developments, model growth and inflation frameworks and develop tools to support the near-term interpretation of economic data publications. On top of that you participate in regular team meetings, reporting about ongoing developments in the global economy as well as progress regarding the development of monitoring tool development. For this purpose you lever you expertise in Microsoft Excel and Bloomberg for data sourcing and visualization. The output of your work will feed into the investment strategy and relevant research publications of LGT Private Bank Europe, making your position an important interface between units. Therefore, you will be able to gain deep insight into the various tasks of the Research & Strategy department as well as different functions and locations of LGT Private Bank Switzerland.
You have recently finished a bachelor or master degree in a financial or economic subject. You show a great affinity for economic developments, and enjoy analyzing and interpreting those, as well as visualize and present them in a systematic fashion. To facilitate that, you are comfortable with employing various information technology solutions, and have a strong command of MS Office Applications, especially Excel (including VBA knowledge) and PowerPoint, and have already had the chance to collect first experience using Bloomberg. Furthermore, you have a solid command of the English and German languages both written and spoken. You are an ambitious high-performance, and innovative thinker, have a strong, team-oriented work ethic, are able to work under pressure, and want to take over responsibility for the quality of your work output.
